It has been 4 long years since Ten Foot Pole put out a record. And in my opinion, it is about friggen time! These punk-rock veterans have been making waves in the music world since 1993, it is NEVER a dull moment with these guys. Well it is now 2002, and after a few line-up changes, and 4 full lengths, Ten Foot Pole is back with their latest album on Victory Records titled "Bad Mother Trucker".
This 12 song album will NOT be a disappointment. It is jam packed with old school riffs, catchy singalongs, and also, what better than a song about masturbation? You heard me right, the song "Wanna Be Alone" is a hilarious take at an attempt to wack it while the ghosts of dead relatives constantly interfere! "Armchair Quarterback" is a catchy track that is upbeat and will be a mosh-pit pogo favorite for all you kids! I am telling you that the whole album is addicting, and will burn out your car diskman faster than their album "Rev" could of done. This is absolutly one of their best albums to date (no disresect to the others, this one is just insanely good). They don't change their sound, they don't do whats "in", they just fuckin rock! These fellas have definitely grown up musically, but in no way will act their ages! Not many bands capture the sound and feeling of punk rock circa 1995, then you get Ten Foot Pole. A breath of fresh air, in a world with "punkers" like Sum41 and Avril Lavigne. This is punk, they are not, this is good, they are not. Pick up this album, or move to Canada.
