If you are a child of the '90s and you don't own an Archers of Loaf album you should be spanked. It's a downright shame this band never exploded out of the underground, or perhaps it's a blessing, it made their concerts all the more enjoyable and the tickets attainable. Their second full-length effort "Vee Vee" is nothing short of excellent innovative garage-rock. Shiny tunes like "Harnessed in Slums," "Underdogs of Nipomo," "Let the Loser Melt," and "Underachievers March and Fight Song" have some of the catchiest riffs and cunning lyrics to come out of the 1990s. You are only doing yourself harm by refusing to purchase this or any other Archers of Loaf album. If you like Pavement you oughta give this band a try! |
